In face of opportunities and challenges brought by economic globalization and China's fast growth in the economic and social fields, improving public administration for good governance has become crucial in gaining the initiative amongst increasingly fierce international competition. For this reason, the DRC, Harvard Kennedy School and the School of Public Policy and Management, and Tsinghua University jointly run the China’s Leaders in Development Executive Program. CDRF is responsible for organizing this program.
The China Executive Leadership Program co-sponsored by the Organization Department of CCCPC, DRC and the University of Cambridge. CELP is co-organized by CDRF and Cambridge China Development Trust. The participants were selected by the Organization Department of CCCPC and were all senior executives from large SOEs.
Over the years, CDRF has dedicated to advance good governance and public policy to promote economic development and social progress in China. Our progress and success cannot be separated with the consistent support from our international strategic partners who shared the same value of “better policy, better society”. The Young Leaders Development Programme is set up to meet such challenges by CDRF aiming to provide the young rising leaders from our Patrons an unique and exceptional learning experience to enhance their leadership and management in the context of China.
The program was co-organized by the CPC Central Organization Department (COD), DRC and China Earthquake Administration and operated by CDRF. The trainees chosen by COD from leading figures in relevant organs of the central government and in large and medium cities located in China’s SSMPR (Significant Seismic Monitoring and Protection Regions). The University of Tokyo provided course lectures and Tokyo Foundation assisted in the field trips and other events.
CDRF initiated “Young Fellowship in Development Study of China” program since 2001 to explore effective mechanisms to cultivate policy research personnel and accumulate human resources and capacity for China’s theoretical and policy research. Scholarship recipients include outstanding PHD candidates and postgraduate students in prestigious universities and research institutes. This program also provides opportunities of applying theory to practice for young talents who are committed to the study of China’s economic and social development.
