Press Conference of CDF2015 Held
Sponsored by the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and organized by China Development Research Foundation (CDRF), China Development Forum 2015 (CDF2015) will be held on 21-23 March, 2015 at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. The theme of CDF2015 is “China’s Economy in the ‘New Normal’”. On 2nd February, the press conference of CDF2015 was held.
The year 2015 is the final year of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan and the second year after China’s economy has entered the “new normal”. Adapting to the new normal and promoting sustained and healthy economic development is a significant strategic assessment of the situation by the Party, which reveals the new changes in China’s economic development. With the theme of “China’s Economy in the ‘New Normal’”, CDF2015 will include in its agenda topics like reform of fiscal and taxation system, industrial restructuring, international collaboration in the new normal, the “One Belt One Road” Initiative, and etc.
Yu Bin, Member of the Party Leading Group and Director-General of the General Office of DRC, introduced that “2015 is the crucial year of comprehensively deepening reform”. Understanding the new normal, adapting to the new normal, and leading in the new normal is the overall logic in the current and future development of China’s economy.
Lu Mai, Secretary-General of CDRF, announced that currently confirmed delegates of CDF2015 include 75 global CEOs of multinationals and more than 30 senior officials of international organizations and renowned scholars. Dr. Henry Kissinger will attend China Development Forum for the second time and take the floor.
There will be 43 sessions during CDF2015, including 8 during the Forum and 25 during the Economic Summit. To enrich the discussion, breakfast meeting, luncheon, banquet speech and invitation-only round-table will also be held.
