Philips is thrilled to be participating in the 2019 China Development Forum. It’s an important event that enables us to strengthen key relationships and local partnerships that support our strategy and investments in China.
China has long been a strategically important market for Philips.
Our bonds date back to the Qing Dynasty when our x-Ray system made it into the Forbidden City. Since then, our ties have got stronger and stronger and today we recognize China as our second home market.
As a focused health technology provider, we combine global innovation addressing local needs to enhance China’s healthcare.
We fully support the “Healthy China 2030” initiative, and we operate right across the health continuum – from healthy living and prevention, through diagnosis and treatment… all the way to home care (and of course back to healthy living).
Our experience shows that the challenges in healthcare are simply too big for any single player to go it alone. Philips is not just an innovator, but we support the entire Chinese tech ecosystem. We collaborate with universities, and hospitals, start-ups as well as established companies. We co-create solutions that address China’s priorities in healthcare.
Through these projects and many more, and by expanding our portfolio in local innovation, Philips wants to act as a trusted partner of the Chinese government.
To achieve this, we will continue to invest in world-class research and operations in China. .We will maintain our focus on social projects, sustainability and doing business in the right way.
